Impact and legacy from EoP
EoP has made an impact in the community in two main areas. Firstly, by contributing to the uptake of physical activity and wellbeing. Secondly, by helping to develop inter-agency co-operation.
Participant Statistics
The following charts show the number and ethnicity of programme participants since it began in 2005 up until April 2007. Total combined participation in Turangi and Taupo was 758 for this period.

Regional cooperation
As part of the operation and delivery of EoP, a partnership agreement was developed and adopted by the major partners in response to the needs of EoP, but was not limited to work on the programme.
The agreement has served as a platform for ongoing co-operation between the partner organisations. This also reflects the successful nature of the partnership around EoP, which was conducted in a positive spirit.
EoP has helped to revamp Green Prescription referrals throughout the Taupo region. GPs and Practice Nurses loved the fact that instead of just telephone support from Hamilton they were getting a real (solid) product using
local services and their patients could achieve huge differences in health statistics from such a personalised programme.
