Communities & Clubs

Getting out and getting into sport is a big part of New Zealand life.

Whether you're an athlete, a coach or an official - being part of our sporting scene is hugely fun and rewarding.

Coaching

New Zealand has a proud history of sporting excellence. Excellence in sport requires excellence in coaching.

Quality coaches have a huge impact on their communities. They spend time with New Zealanders, young and old, and have a positive influence on the lives and values of those they come into contact with.

Active Communities

SPARC’s Active Communities investment is for projects that demonstrate a collaborative approach to increasing participation in sport and physical recreation at a community level.

Volunteers - the heart of sport

Volunteers form the backbone of sport and recreation in New Zealand. Please join SPARC in saying a huge thanks to your volunteers.

Push Play

The Push Play Campaign aimed to inspire New Zealanders to become more active, and to value sport and recreation as integral to their day.

Clubkit

Creating and running a sports or recreation club can be a hugely rewarding experience and it's a great way to get involved with your community. SPARC is dedicated to getting New Zealanders moving and your club has a big part to play in this.

Officials

The purpose of the SPARC Official’s site is to provide the resources and information for national sport organisations (NSO’s) and officials to upskill and in the process, develop sustainable levels of officials from the grass roots to elite level.

Sports Clubs

At present, SPARC does not manage a comprehensive list of sports clubs. We suggest you try directories such as NZ Sport and Sportsground.
