Territorial Authority / School Partnerships Review

Territorial Authorities and Schools throughout New Zealand are beginning to realise the potential of partnering in the provision of community sport and recreation facilities.

At their best such partnerships can save money, ensure the most strategic facility sites are secured, generate better operational synergies, and lay the foundations for even greater collaboration.

As diverse as the needs and circumstances of facility projects can be, the SPARC funded Territorial Authority / School Partnerships Review identifies commonalities underlying all successful facility partnerships.

Included in the review are case studies on a range of small, medium, and large partnerships from across New Zealand.

The review is a valuable ‘how to guide’ for any school or territorial authority considering entering into a facility partnership.
