About SPARC

We spend more than 70 million dollars each year to achieve our vision, which is:

a nation inspired to be active, particiapte and win

We:

• invest in organisations that contribute to our outcomes
• partner with national sport organisations (NSOs), national recreation organisations (NROs), regional sports trusts (RSTs) and many other organisations that have the capability to get people and programmes moving in their areas
• provide specialist services and programmes for critical areas across the sector. These include CoachCorp, Capability and Sport Development, and facilities for elite athletes and coaches
• develop effective programmes aimed at getting New Zealanders active. These include Push Play, the Activator, Green Prescription and a whole series of programmes for children and schools
• represent the sector to government in policy formation
• provide a research base for the sector.

Our funding
